Position Overview

The Data Analyst role involves collaborating with data professionals and client services teams to deliver data-driven insights, manage analytical tools, and create compelling visualizations for diverse stakeholders. The position offers opportunities for skill development in programming, cloud services, and business intelligence tools within a political environment. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to grow in a fast-paced setting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Executes modeling pipeline — handling data collection, cleaning, weighting, and validation.
  • Builds and maintains predictive models and audience development tools (reports, dashboards, automations, parameters, etc.) to support client projects.
  • Designs and enhances statistical data via the Red Oak modeling pipeline to continue producing the most accurate results.
  • Performs deep dives into analytical problems — developing insights and supporting the Director's recommended solutions.
  • Ensures analytic rigor in all modeling and research efforts, validating assumptions and verifying outputs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Experience: 1-3 years, including internships or roles in data science or the political space.
  • Preferred (Required): Experience with R & Python programming.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills (ability to work independently and with a group).
  • A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.

Salary: $75,000-$100,000
