Position Overview

Red Oak Strategic is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AWS Account Executive to lead business development efforts in our cloud consulting services practice, with a primary focus on Data and Analytics workloads. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a robust network of AWS sales representatives and potential clients who can execute strategic sales efforts, build strong relationships, and deliver revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record in closing deals and a passion for cloud-based data solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage new clients seeking AWS cloud consulting services, particularly for data and analytics transformations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key AWS account managers, partner teams, and stakeholders to drive joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to shape client solutions that align with business needs.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities and report on progress against sales goals.
  • Attend AWS and industry events to promote Red Oak Strategic's offerings and expand network presence.
  • Provide strategic input on marketing and product development based on market feedback.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or business development roles in cloud consulting, technology services, or software sales, with at least 2 years selling AWS-related services.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell complex consulting engagements and meet/exceed revenue goals ($1.5M+ annual target).
  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, with a focus on Data Lake, Data Warehousing, ETL, Analytics, Machine Learning and AI.
  • Existing network of AWS account managers and relevant customer contacts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. AWS certifications a plus.
