Position Overview
Red Oak Strategic is hiring Cloud Engineers to support our work as an Advanced Tier Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Analytics Partner. This work requires deep understanding of data storage, structures and processes, experience with databases, APIs, and both structured and unstructured data formats. The ideal candidate pairs this foundational knowledge with experience building end-to-end systems and writing production-level code that goes beyond one-off scripting.
Cloud Engineers work directly with our team of AWS Solutions Architects to help deploy infrastructure and application-level solutions to our clients using AWS best practices. Experience with any cloud solution, and AWS in particular is advantageous but only demonstrated interest in learning is required. Above all, Red Oak is seeking bright and hard working engineers who want to solve difficult technical challenges as a member of our team. Primary Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based applications using Python and AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and S3.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS best practices, working closely with AWS Solutions Architects to implement secure and efficient architectures.
- Work with structured and unstructured data, integrating databases, APIs, and various data sources into modern analytics solutions.
- Enhance application quality and delivery velocity by deploying strong and modular code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, continuously improving cloud-based data solutions and supporting client needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience Building advanced ETL and analytics pipelines in Python
- Knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, S3, Glue, ECS, Redshift, etc.
- Collaborative programming skills including git and version control, documentation, module and package design, and professional-level coding
- Strong communication skills and a strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Systems thinking mindset and a natural willingness to be curious, passionate, and responsible

What We Offer
Salary: $70,000-$130,000 (Experience Dependent)
